Title: Blue
Author: D.P. Denman
Genre: M/M Romance
Long before he was a successful songwriter and black-belt badass, Blue was a survivor.
He escaped a program designed to cure him. One that left him near death with nothing to rely on but the kindness of a stranger. Hostile and headstrong, he needed a calmer influence to balance his fury. Someone to save him from himself.
Brady’s life was quiet and orderly until fate sent him a blue-eyed hurricane. Bursts of temper and flashes of despair battered his efforts to quiet the storm in a man he doubted he could tame. One drowning in the wreckage of his past.
With a head full of lies and a body full of scars, Blue worked to rebuild his life with the help of a man who showed him sometimes trust is worth the risk.
Blue features one of the most popular characters from the Saving Liam saga! Destined for greatness, he reveals the past that made him the scarred bad boy readers love.

I love the Saving Liam series so I was eager to read all
about Blue and what happened in his earlier life. Also, as I love age gap
romance, especially in the m/m genre, I was bursting to read this one and I was
not disappointed. Not at all.
Blue and Brady meet in unique circumstances, that being Blue
collapsing in Brady’s back yard after escaping a camp he was sent to by his
parents after he told them he was gay.
Banished to the outside world and having nobody he could
trust, he finds an affinity with Brady and little by little he lets him in to
his life. With nobody looking out for the young blue eyed man, Brady finds
himself wanting to gain his trust and become the one person he can rely on, no
matter how many attempts he makes to push Brady’s help away.
This was a deep and angst filled journey of a read that just
kept me engrossed into the storyline. There were some frustrating times but
also some extremely heart wrenching and tender moments that delivered a well-balanced
and engaging age-gap romance. Even knowing how Blue turns out in the end – a successful
songwriter and kick-ass dude, it was still an anxious and emotive read to see
how this young damaged man took on every knock and push back that was thrown at
him. It was rewarding to see how he fought back and overcame his nightmares of
the past to become the better person and who he was always meant to be. But it
was with Brady’s belief in him and his devotion that helped him the most and
gave him the desire to trust again.
I loved how the story dealt with mental health issues and
was wonderfully portrayed in Blue’s struggles. But it was the emotion and the
connection of Blue and Brady that was the winner for me. The depth of love and
trust between them was a joy to unfold and be part of.
Another great book by DP Denman and I highly recommend it. Five
stars.
Award winning author DP Denman writes character-driven contemporary romance about gay men. Her stories are real and intense, but resolve in endings that make people want to read the book all over again. She lives among the moss and trees of the Pacific Northwest with a rambunctious pair of fur babies.
In her spare time, she is a dedicated LGBTQIA rights activist with a special focus on the thousands of rejected and abandoned kids who end up on the street every year. To support the cause, 25% of the royalties from every book go to LGBT charities.
