Mike and Blake have danced around their secret crush for
each other over the past two years, then a turning point in Blake’s future
makes him take a chance to reveal his feelings.
This was a short and sweet tale of the near miss romance
between the two love struck men that I found enjoyable. However, because it was
a shortened book, I didn’t really get to dig deep to grasp at the level of love
these two held for each other. The story however was constructed well and split
into three sections of the timeline.
Within the storyline there was some alcohol abuse that may
be a trigger for some and I did think Mike’s reaction to what drove him to
drink a little over the top for a one-time thing (as it was when it occurred)
I loved the beginning, liked the ending but the middle bit
just needed a little bit extra. Overall though an enjoyable m/m romance.
