This is the fifth book in the Lost Kings MC series and for a
book that was intended as a wedding novella it turned out to be a big whopper
of a book that to be honest I was happy to delve into. More Rock and Hope? Yes.
More Wrath and Trinity? Hell yes!
This has easily become one of my most favourite in the MC
genre and although I adore the more gritty and dark MC series, this one stands
out for the pure romance. Yes there are some conflicts the MC goes through but
the ultimate focus is on the love that Rock and Wrath have for their ladies –
Hope and Trinity. Oh and don’t worry there is plenty of sex and steam going on with
both Rock and Wrath the kings of the dirty talk.
Both couples are now in a good place and in the run up to
Rock and Hope’s marriage, everything is sailing along until the night of their
engagement party then a huge big curveball gets thrown in the works causing the
biggest upheaval the MC have come across since their new beginning when Rock
took over. Everybody is concerned for Hope, and how she can, if she can, cope with
being the first lady of LOKI. Has she the right aptitude to withstand the new
threat against not only the MC but also her future with Rock?
I needn’t have worried as Autumn Jones Lake portrayed Hope
as I knew she could be. After all this is a woman who has gone through so much
in her life already, becoming a strong attorney and going through the grief of
losing her first husband so young. I was glad how Hope stepped up to the plate
and became this kick-ass woman who was fighting for her man and her new family.
I loved how the brothers had her back and supported her as first lady of LOKI.
The banter between them was hilarious in parts and poignant in others.
The story is told via multiple POV as was needed when the
book covered so many characters and the impact of their stories. This was a
great way to get inside the psyche of Wrath, Trinity, Hope and Rock and knowing
their thought process.
Trinity is still working through her issues and slowly
becoming to understand that she is worthy of Wrath’s love. Wrath is a true
sweetheart supporting her through and when he patches her in and then gets down
on one knee, well that just had me tearing up. I love these two and feel their
angst for the struggles they have been through to get to this point where they
can finally be happy together.
The mystery around what will happen with Heide, Murphy and
Axel still continues. I kind of think I know where Autumn is going to go with this but
you never know! I am total team Murphy but I also love Axel. I don’t want any
of my boys to be left standing alone. Also Teller, wow what a revelation he is
turning out to be. The vision I have in my head of him is super-hot so I am
wanting to get inside his head and find out what makes him tick.
This is another engrossing addition to the series and a story of love and conflict but
most of all about the family that is LOKI and I for one am thrilled to continue
to feel a part of this band of brothers and the women who are the backbone that
binds them. Amazing. Five stars.
