Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: 22 August 2017
Synopsis
One of Hollywood’s A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I’m going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one night stands.
Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I’m determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.
She doesn’t recognize me, she’s never heard of Matt Easton and my million dollar smile doesn’t work on her.
Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she’s my neighbor I know I’m toast. There’s no way I can resist temptation when it’s ten yards away.
She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist.
She’s movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine.
Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I’m used to. She’s not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I’m determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand.
I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door.
A sexy, standalone romance.
Review
A new standalone romance from Louise Bay and this time it’s
an opposites attract romance.
Lana Kelly is back in her hometown, a small town coastal
resort after fleeing the big city after a bad break up. Now she is concentrating
on her small business, supporting her neighbours and looking after the rental
property she owns next door. After an explosive meeting with a man in a
thunderstorm she is surprised to find the same man is her new renter.
Matt Easton is a Hollywood superstar, damping down a dent in
his celebrity status, he decides to stay in a small coastal resort rather than with
the film crew of his new film a town over. When he meets the beautiful Lana he
tries to keep cool but he finds her hard to resist.
Both are fighting back the disasters of their past and
dealing with insecurities that hold them from taking a chance on their hot
steamy romance.
This was another hot and passionate read from Louise Bay. I
liked that there was a bit of an age gap between the H and h. I also loved that
Matt was a high flying superstar and Lana was the consequential girl next door,
a true case of opposites attract. I liked it and it was an enjoyable quick
read. Four stars.
