Review
This is the second book in the standalone series Blue Collar Brothers. This is a sweet but sexy romance.
Vanessa is the daughter of the police commander and is determined to never fall for a cop. However when her friend wins her a date with Christian, a police officer in her father’s precinct, so begins a snowball effect of her determination coming crashing down.
Christian is the middle brother of the sexy Bianco brothers but whereas it is usually the eldest who is the more sensible, Christian firmly holds that title. He finds Vanessa extremely attractive and is hoping for more than a one date thing but her constants brush offs have Christian doubting himself.
This was a quick read and a kind of opposites attract. Vanessa is a ball buster, go getter, sassy woman and Christian is a sexy but sensitive type. Once the pair keep finding themselves in close proximity due to his brother and her best friend dating, the initial standoff begins to dissipate. After a lot of back and forth they finally agree the chemistry between them is too hot to ignore.
Although parts of the storyline annoyed me (mainly down to Vanessa) it was an enjoyable romp and overall a three to four star read for me (rounded up just because of Christian - what a sexy sweetheart!)
