Acting Out - Tibby Armstrong

This book continues the story of Aaron and Greg but is focused on the two actors Jeremy and Kit who portray them in the film of their relationship – No Apologies. It centres on the making of this film and the relationship development of Jeremy and Kit.

Jeremy is in his first acting role and is openly (but quietly) gay. Kit is a former child actor hoping for a break to leap him onto the next level of his career. He has a reputation with the ladies and is a constant feed for the paparazzi. Kit takes Jeremy under his wing to show him the way in his unfolding new stardom. Jeremy on the other hand gives Kit an insight into “method acting” which in turn highlights to Kit his true self, which he constantly tries to deny to them both.

The story opens at the premier where they both arrive to the glittering applause. However, underneath the smiles hides the angst of their current situation. Will this be the end for Kit and Jeremy? Or could there be a future for them?

Oh WOW. Oh wowie WOW. This book was a page turner from the get go. I loved, LOVED! the build-up and the changing roles of Kit and Jeremy. It seemed at first that Kit was the one with all the answers, the experience and the dominance. But to see how Jeremy …well, blossomed was wonderful. The plotline just kept on coming at you with all the tension, angst, suspense and sizzling hot intimacies. Absolutely loved these guys, although Kit really made me want to kick his ass at times! Jeremy was adorable and sweet but showed his amazing strength which was gorgeous to see develop.

We also caught up with Aaron and Greg which I felt the first book needed at the end. This book made up for it. The pair are now older and wiser (and even more lush!) The scene on the beach was fabulous!

This is another triumph for Tibby Armstrong. I absolutely adored this book. To mimic the words of Jeremy – “You got me, Kristofer Harris” - well “You got me, Tibby Armstrong!” Fully recommend.
