REVIEW
Foxy Rating = Four dirty stars!
*ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

This is a standalone MC read and my first by this author and tells the hard-core romance of Jaeger and Nix.

Jaeger is the typical alpha, filth talking, man whoring, sex god president of an MC, and has come from a broken past. Thrown out onto the streets at sixteen, he has learnt to take care of himself by becoming an underground fighter. It is at one of his fights when he killed his opponent, that he first sets eyes on ‘Red’. He has never forgotten this woman but then he also never thought he’d see her again.

Years later he is now the president the Hunters MC which he created himself. It is whilst on a run to get payment on a debt that he comes face to face again with Red and the end of her shotgun!

Dillon has tried to keep things afloat on her late father’s farm which has gone from rack to ruin due to his drinking and gambling debts. When Jaeger informs her that her father sold them out she finds an unlikely ally in him when another mc come calling with guns, and they make a hasty escape. Dillon aka Phoenix, aka Nix finds herself at the Hunter’s compound and in Jaeger’s bed!

This was a quick and satisfying mc read. I wouldn’t say it was overly dark as I have read far darker mc books but it was enjoyable none the less. I did find Nix to be overly protesting to her attraction to Jaeger and at times she got on my last nerve. Jaeger on the other hand was a likable and sexy foul mouthed and over sexed alpha. Just how I like them!

There was sufficient angst and grit (great name for the book then!) thrown in, with a smidgen of ‘who done it’ intermingled.

Overall if you like your mc reads down and dirty then Grit is definitely a OneClick you need. Four stars.

Sarge walks into the kitchen and looks between the coffee all over the fridge door, the smashed porcelain on the ground and me, chuckling.

“That went well,” he says and lets his own laughter rip from his lips. “Heard her shrieking like a banshee out in the yard.”

“She wants to go home.” I rub my hands over my eyes and try to relax, but knowing she’s pissed isn’t great for me.”

“Women are different,” Sarge says with a shrug.

“Tell me about it.”

“Sometimes it’s best to shut the fuck up and not fight ‘em.” Sarge sits in the chair that Nix was sitting in.

“You pussy-whipped?” I ask as I feel my eyebrows draw together in question.

“Hmmm.” He reverts back to normal Sarge. “Women wanna be told what to do, but you need to make it look like it’s their idea.”

“That’s fucked. She should just do what I say and be happy with it.”

Sarge shakes his head. “She’s right, you’re a dick.”

I don't do 'normal'.
I've found that the more I write, the more I like being different to other authors. I write in first person, and I love to challenge a reader.
I take the normal and switch it around.
For me, I really enjoy getting a reaction from a reader. So if I can evoke an emotion (regardless of if it's the emotion the reader wants) then I figure that I've done my job as an author I want to be.
I really quite revel in taking people out of their comfort zones and pushing them to read something different.
My genre of writing is, well quite frankly, where ever my mind goes. I won't label myself because I don't like sticking to one genre.
My goal with writing is just to take people away from whatever is going on in their lives, even if it's only for a split second.
I'm a go with the flow sort of person and don't really take a course of action to get where I am going. I live in the moment and don't usually worry about tomorrow because whatever life is due to bring me, I'll be happy to accept.
I love my family and friends and will help anyway I can if someone needs it. I really don't like people that are nasty just because they can be, I don't believe that's necessary, I mean life's hard enough as it is!
I hope you enjoy my books, I've had a hoot writing them. There's more to come.....
Til next time.

M xx
