Title: The Spencer Cohen Series: Book 2
Author: N.R. Walker
Genre: M/M Romance
Finally going from fake boyfriends to the real thing, Spencer Cohen and Andrew Landon are trying to take things slow. They know what they have could be something special and despite the flammable sexual tension, they don’t want to crash and burn.
Spencer is learning to open up and share the secrets of his past with Andrew. Afraid to put his heart on the line but unable to stop himself, Spencer knows he’s falling in love. Andrew is petrified of leaping in blindly, yet the slower they go, the faster they fall.
As they navigate their new relationship, Spencer worries Andrew will freak out when he takes on a new client. But it’s not a normal case, and Spencer soon realises all is not what it seems. When the job takes a downward turn, Spencer and Andrew work together to help the client. They’ll need to decide if they’re ready for the next step.
Foxy Rating = Five stars plus
The second book in the amazing Spencer Cohen series, follows
on from Spencer and Andrew deciding to take a chance on a relationship and they
are now ‘officially dating’.
When taking on a new client, Spencer knows he needs to be
honest with Andrew in that he is still taking on clients. However this new
client feels a little ‘off’ and appears to be not what he portrays – a heartbroken
man searching for his boyfriend. Not a usual scenario for Spencer but when he
finds the boyfriend then things take a near sinister turn.
My adoration for this series continues. I absolutely love
Spencer and Andrew. The way they both start to open up to each other,
especially Spencer about his past. Aww heart churning. It’s also a ‘meet the
parents’ and what a shocker for Spencer that turns out to be. What awesome
parents Andrew has. As for the passion whoo hoo! I know we didn’t get much
action between the sheets in the first book (slow build is the name of the game
after all) but it more than makes up for it in book two. These two cannot keep
their hands of each other! Scorching.
The chemistry, passion and interactions between Andrew and
Spencer were a page turner. I could not get enough. I loved how Andrew has come
out of his shell and starts taking the lead in some scenarios. Spencer was more
than happy with that. The gang from the ink shop were also back and keeping us
entertained, especially Emilio and his ‘acting’ - what a cool dude!
This is not a series you can just jump into and try and
catch up, you really need to read in order. Book one sets the scene and the
tension, book two is the uncorking the passion and love so now just waiting to
see the crescendo in book three. I cannot wait. Five ‘toothbrushes say it all’
stars.
N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance.
She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
She is many things: a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who live in her head, who don’t let her sleep at night unless she gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things… but likes it even more when they fall in love.
She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
She’s been writing ever since…
