This is the fourth book in the All Cocks series and features
another throuple, this time being Micah, Gabe and Tristan.
Gabe and Micah have become close friends through dealing with
their own personal hell, Gabe with dealing with his partner Gio’s death, and
Micah with his PTSD from his military career. It is the one man who is brought into the equation to help
them deal with their issues, Tristan, who then becomes a bigger part of their
life.
The story builds telling of the friendship development
between the three men, two broken and one lonely. Together their friendship
strengthens until an unbreakable bond is made but none are able to reveal their
true inner feelings of each other. That’s because it takes a lot of soul
searching and repair to themselves before they can acknowledge what they really
want is that this dream can become true.
I am not really a fan of m/m/m and I can count on one hand
the number of books I have read where I have actually enjoyed this trope.
Victor, Mattie and Andrew was one of them and yes now this one too. The actual
togetherness of Gabe, Micah and Tris didn’t actually take place until around
75% of the book, however it was the despair, yearning and pain that they each
had to go through that built the strength of the story to deliver a believable
and attainable truth of them being together.
This was a quick but in depth storyline which was enriched
with the secondary characters, mainly the All Cocks men from the previous
books, plus the fabulous Brennan family. The interaction and love that flows
within each of these stories stands testament to Smith’s writing. It pulls the
reader into an intense, heart wrenching but passionate read which is hard to
let go once the story has ended.
I loved the ending and am so intrigued as to what will
happen between William and Beau. These two tough, hard and strong men are going
to be something to be amazed by I just know. As for Gabe, Micha and Tris, it was a wonderful
tale of love overcoming pain, loss and despair and delivering that ever yearned for
HEA. Four and a half stars.
