A summer fling is an ideal cure for a broken heart. But when it’s with your best friend, things get complicated.
When Adam is dumped by his boyfriend, a week away at a beach resort seems like a great opportunity to get over his ex. Sun, sea, and no-strings sex will be just the boost he needs to move on with his life.
Adam’s best friend, Finn, agrees to accompany him at short notice. Finn’s had a crush on Adam for years, but is determined to put his feelings aside and be the perfect wingman in Adam’s time of crisis.
A spontaneous threesome with another guy forces Adam and Finn to confront their attraction to each other. Having a holiday fling together wasn’t part of the plan, and as their trip heats up, they soon realise that one night of fun won’t be enough for either of them.
The passion might be scorching, but their hearts and friendship are on the line. If their romance is going to survive the flight home, they have to be honest about what they want.
Review
This is a perfect friends to lovers
stand alone romance.
Reeling from being dumped by his older
boyfriend after five years, Adam packs up his bags and runs to the
only person he can rely on to comfort and support him, his best
friend, Finn.
Finn is shocked when he finds Adam on
his doorstep but a little relieved inside when he finds out that Adam
has split from Drew. After all, Finn has been secretly hiding his
yearning for his best friend for years. He knew Drew was no good for
Adam, so is there a chance for them now? When Adam reveals he has a
holiday booked, he asks Finn if he wants to go with him which is a no
brainer for Finn. A week of sun, sand and ...well what more could
happen?
This was a fantastic friends to lovers
storyline with very little angst at all which meant for a great heart
warming read. Both characters were instantly loveable and I was
cheering from the get go for them both to move their relationship to
something oh so much more.
The romance was passionate and
extremely hot as is a given from Jay Northcote. Added with a back
drop of a beautiful Spanish beach resort and it was a winning
combination. An excellent read that I highly recommend. Four hot
stars.
