This is the second (and final – please I want more!) book in the Breathe Series and continues the love story of Olivia and Owen. The first book Rescue Breathing was all about their meeting and courtship, in Life Support it takes us on the second stage of their story and what happens after the HFN ending of book one.

I totally love Olivia and Owen and their chemistry and believability are so spot on. There is no need for a sub plot to engage the reader as the everyday lives of a couple learning to trust and understand one another past their inner anxieties is enough to pull the reader in to their fabulous romance.

Olivia had been badly hurt in her previous relationship and she finds herself blaming Owen for things that were done to her by another. For instance her trust issues and her self-confidence are shot to hell. She keeps believing that eventually Owen will wake up and see that she is not good enough for him.  Owen on the other hand is finding it hard to make a commitment even though he knows Olivia is it for him. He is also suffering from a form of PTSD due to a horrific rescue gone wrong in the past. This has compounded issues in his ability to let Olivia in.

It’s through these issues that an angst factor is thrown into the storyline but the rest of it is pure, unadulterated bliss! The everyday happenings just make Olivia and Owen feel so real in that I felt like part of their gang of friends and family. I was rooting for them both to see past their anxieties and just let them go and be happy together. The one thing they both recognise they have is the off the charts sex life. Oh my wordy but the sex scenes are hot as hell! I loved that they would take every opportunity to have sexy time, no matter where they were. These two were on it like a pair of rabbits! Scorching hot!

Throughout the story you can see how they both are learning to live with each other and from that their love only goes deeper and deeper. This was so beautiful to see. I liked that the authors brought in as added humour the things that real couples would moan about each other. For instance Olivia would tell Owen on his days off alone in the flat to get all his burping and farting done for the week! Hilarious and something I would see myself saying to my other half. It was so down to earth but also at the same time delivered a beautiful and engrossing love story.

If there was one thing I would have done differently would be to slow down the ending and give more detail of what happened in the two years with Drew. I was itching to see what that would be like with Owen. Hey maybe a side line novella would be good for that (hint hint dear authors!). Other than that I loved and adored everything about this book. I had a serious case of book hangover once I had finished it.

Brilliant series with fabulous characters and an amazing love story. Five stars.
