The first book in the new sports romance series, Rough
Riders, Dirty Player introduces the reader to the team and in this book hot
shot Oliver Powell.
Oliver is the star player tight end on the Raleigh Rough Riders
team. After being severely broken by his first love and now ex-wife so he stays
clear of any relationship. He is happy to be a player on both on the field and
off. That is until he meets new quarterback, Beau’s older sister, Shannon. She
is a total knockout and he set in place a plan of attack to get sexy Shannon in
his bed.
Shannon has recently moved to Raleigh to go live near her brother
after her snake of an ex cheated on her in their bed! Always having looked out
for others she now resolves to take something from her new freedom and first is
a no ties sexual interaction. When she meets Oliver who she has always had a
crush on and he makes her an offer, she definitely is taking this chance with both
hands and from what she has heard of this sexy sportsman, she will definitely
need two hands!
This was a wonderfully sexy and engaging sports romance. I
loved the sexual tension between Shannon and Oliver and how this slowly built
to something so much more once Oliver let down his protective wall. The angst was fabulously provided with the
inclusion of the exes both making an appearance who both had me boo-hissing at
the kindle.
Overall a great start to this new series and I shall look
forward to the next books. Four stars.
