Blurb
Levi Ramone entered the gay porn market for one reason, and one reason only: he needed the cash to pay his momma's spiraling gambling debts.
Seven years later, he's a veteran with a reputation as one of Blue Boy Studio's most ruthless tops, and when his boss suggests it's time for a change, he finds himself staring down the barrel of a gun. Figuratively speaking, at least.
Enter Sonny Valentine, a go-go dancer at Blue's sister club, Silver's. Levi has secretly admired Sonny from afar for years, but there's a problem. He can't stand Sonny and the feeling is entirely mutual. When Levi learns Sonny is to play the third part in a scene he already considers his worst nightmare, he figures things can't get any worse.
But when preparations for the scene from hell collide with tragic events in his personal life, he finds his fast-growing, red-hot attraction to Sonny just might be the only thing left between him and a bullet.

Review
I was not aware this had been released before so not sure
what changes have been made to this version released in December 2016. Anyhow
it’s an enemies to lovers romance with a slash of porn star thrown in so a win
win read for me all around!
Levi is coping with an alcoholic mother who takes up most of
his money hence the reason for him getting into porn in the first place. An easy
way to make money maybe but needs must, so as well as running his own car
garage business, he is one of the main features on the online porn star
circuit. Renowned for his tough alpha top persona, he has never made the switch
but with the fans eager to pay for this he knows his boss will soon be asking
for this. With the money being offered and the debts his mother has going on,
he knows he there is no chance of him turning it down, even though it will
bring him into contact with know it all dancer Sonny. There is no love lost
between the two but when Sonny makes a suggestion and offers his support, this
brings the two into a much closer proximity that brings some unexpected
feelings to the surface.
I have read a lot of books in this trope and it is one I
enjoy. In this one it did take a bit more of a far background apart from the up
close and personal training Sonny supplies. I liked how the two came around to
taking a chance on trying to understand the other which made way for some
romance to be brought into the mix. I liked the connection between the two and
liked how their relationship was gradually moved from a hate to love thing.
Nicely done for a quick read.
There were some continuity issues (Levi left his phone at
his Mom’s after the altercation but mysteriously he was able to produce when it
rang on his way home from the hospital?) but other than these little glitches,
I did enjoy it. Three and a half stars rounded up to four as although I would
have liked to find out more about Levi and Sonny there was sufficient to
deliver a hot and spicy romance.
