Jacob pressed his face into the messy tumble of hair in front of him, smelling the unique sensual scent of Dominque, trying to ignore the need inside him to pull him backwards and cage him in his arms while he ground his cock into those firm cheeks.
“Jacob.” Dominque’s silken voice purred into the otherwise silent room.
“Dominque.” Jacob smiled.
“I missed you last night.”
Jacob moved closer, draping an arm over Dominque’s stomach and splaying his fingers out over the taut, smooth flesh beneath them. “Well, that makes being apart from you much more bearable. “Jacob…” Dominque glanced over his shoulder, heavy lids half covering the seductive wide brown eyes beneath them, black lashes curling, tickling his skin as he blinked, centering his alluring gaze on Jacob. “You're making it difficult to keep to our no sex rule.”
“I’ll think you'll find—” He placed an open-mouthed kiss to the same spot under Dominque’s ear. “—it’s you who is making things very hard to ignore that particular rule.” His cock was rigid and aching, pulsing against Dominque’s cheeks. “I hurt I want you that much. This is the latest book in the Knights to Remember series
but can be read as a standalone.
Dominque is a young man who has had to grow up fast since
the death of his mother, leaving him at eighteen with a five bedroom house to
upkeep and raise his younger sister. He needed to earn money and earn it fast
which lead him to become an escort. Over the last six years he has become the
most sought after at his agency but now Dominque is looking to change. He needs
out of the business and a chance to be himself now this his sister is reaching
adulthood. Soon she will be off to live her life so Dominque needs to start
looking to his future too.
Jacob is a man in control of his life. His esteemed
reputation as a leading surgeon leaves him with no time for a relationship. He
relies on his one night only interaction with men, after all his career takes
up his life so how could he cope with needing to care for someone. No one has
ever come close to his ideal man who he has fantasised about in his deepest
desires for years. But then he sees the exact real life vision that is his
dream and panics. He casts his chance aside to be with the man in his haste to
escape his life’s dream. However circumstances or fate push him to be with the
man and even though his standoffish attitude is in full on mode, life has other
plans for them both.
This was a beautiful story of two men of opposite traits,
one being a nurturing and caring man and the other looking out only for his own
needs. But that is until they are thrown together and their true selves who
they become when they are with the person they were always meant to be with.
This was an engaging and emotive read. It was the kind of
book you pick up intending to read the first chapter and then find half your
day has gone by. The depth and intensity of the storyline just grabbed me and
made me fall for these two gorgeous men.
I have not read all of this series but it is one I fully
intend to devour.
