 Synopsis:
A chance encounter can

change everything.

Olivia Moore is your average hard working, down to earth,

Aussie chick.

Taking each day as it comes, working in a factory, Olivia is

just plodding along through life. She’s resigned herself to the fact she’s not
going to get her happily ever after, a husband… kids… because she has given up
on men - they lie and cheat, leaving a world of pain in their wake.
Then Olivia meets Joel.

Joel Turner is hard working, down to earth, sexy, kind, fun… in

fact, he’s damn near perfect. Joel is exactly the type of man Olivia has always
wanted. He stirs emotions in her that have laid dormant for years. He breaks
down her walls, forcing Olivia to fall in love and to finally believe fairy
tales really can come true.
Until she discovers something that could change it all.

Excerpt One

“Fuck!”  Could this day get any worse?
“So we meet again,” a now familiar voice spoke softly.
I jumped, still cursing the broken tub of ice cream and turned to watch Tim Tam guy pushing his trolley to a stop at the back of the silver ute parked beside mine.  What are the chances?
“Well, I feel like I have to introduce myself now.”  He chuckled.
Introduce myself!  Why didn’t I think of that?
He stepped a little closer and held out his hand.
“I’m Joel and I promise I’m not stalking you.”
“Olivia,” I said laughing, taking his hand.  It was warm and slightly rough.  It was strong and inviting and very, very hard to let go of.  I blinked a couple of times and then dropped my hand to my side before I made even more of a fool of myself.  I hope he can’t see the sweat on my brow.
“Nice to meet you,” he said with a genuinely heart pounding smile.  “So Olivia, have you eaten?”
I picked up my packet of Tim Tams and saluted him with them.
Dinner?” he asked disbelievingly.
“Yep,” I replied.
“You can’t be serious.”  He chuckled.
“Deadly,” I said with a smile.
“Could I take you to a real dinner?  Something with a little more nutrition, maybe?”  He had a cheeky look on his face.
“Um…”  I’m a sweaty mess, why is he even asking me?
Oh god, he’s single!  And hot!  And asking me out!

Excerpt Two

He moved his body down ever so slightly and pressed into me, his erection still above where I needed it to be.  I tried to move but was unable to get close enough to get the friction where I wanted it.  He had me pinned with his thick, solid thighs and my feet were barely touching the carpet on the side of the bed, I couldn’t get any leverage with the only the tips of my toes.  His kisses moved back to my neck and became vicious as he nipped me over and over.  He would bite me hard, to the point of pain and then he would softly lick away the hurt and kiss me tenderly again.  The throbbing between my legs was becoming unbearable as he put pressure against me, again in the wrong spot.  I felt my knickers getting damper by the second as I tried to push him lower.
“Stop wriggling,” he said demandingly against my neck before nipping my ear.  “Let me tease you.”

There isn’t a book that Megan Keith has written that I have not loved and this one is no exception. This is a sweet but powerful and sensual story of love and all that entails. What I loved about this book is that is it a relatively simple romance but holds some seriously hot in between the sheets action! However it is a story that is easy to relate to as it covered a romance that you could envisage happening to an everyday couple. There was no need for multi billionaire CEOs, or commando alpha men, as it was engaging throughout in its normalcy and simplicity.

Olivia (or Liv as she comes to be known) is a normal 30 year old working in a factory and after a long shift she stops off at the supermarket for her end of week shopping. It was whilst she was traipsing up and down the aisles that she spots the super-hot guy who she then keeps running into at various points in the store. However Liv has been through some bad relationships in the past that have given her a major inferiority complex so she thinks she is nothing special to offer a man like that. But then their eyes meet over the pack of Tim Tams (I really need to try these!) and thus begins the start of Joel and Liv.

Joel was an instant hit for me - so likeable and lovable. When he is first described to the reader he comes across as a shy guy (he even blushes) but once he and Liv get together and the first bedroom scene – whoo hoo he’s definitely a man in control that’s for sure! The whole package of Joel is everything a woman would want – shy, considerate, funny, handsome and sexy! But he also has his own hidden anxieties which have had a major impact on his life in recent years. He hasn’t let go of his past and has just been existing and not living. Until he meets Liv.

I loved the whole romance development from the first tender and shy walks and talks to the first night of passion, then to the wrong impressions leading to insecurities and arguments which in turn lead to some major hot make up sessions. It has everything you would imagine to happen. Liv opens up fully to Joel with her past relationships that have left a lasting impression on her which is the result of some of her actions she takes out on Joel.  Unbeknownst to Liv he is hiding something but it is something he feels could push Liv away from him. But they learn to trust one another which when Joel finally reveals his secret it could have had drastic effects on their future.

To be honest I didn’t really think his secret was as bad as it was made out and I wanted to shake Liv when she acted like she did when she found out (and then she didn’t ask for the full story when the secret was revealed) This is something that they finally work through though together and is a turning point in their relationship.

This was a beautiful story of two people who find each other and learn to trust and love each other over every adversity thrown at them. For me that was wonderful to read and enjoy. The epilogue was an added bonus for the reader and gave an insight to Joel and Liv’s future life. A happy sigh escaped when I got to the end of the book. Gorgeous.
