Review
This was first published back in June 2013 and I came across it when I was researching transgender romance to review, so to be then asked if I would like to take part in a blog tour for it just felt it was meant to be.
This was a relatively short but enlightening read. This is only my second read of a transgender romance but again I am pleased to see it was done well.
Venetia has lived a turbulent past, especially her school days in relation to being bullied. She has turned her life around and now supports youths going through the same thing.
Roy on the other hand was one of those on the opposite side of the coin, one who delivered the bullying along with his brother. Through the passing of time and maturity he finds himself regretting his past. When he finds Venetia again it is a shock but the pair can not fight the attraction they both feel for each other. When Venetia finds out who Roy's brother is will her feelings change?
This was a well thought out subject matter and my second book in as many days where the issue of 'labeling' a person is put into perspective. Why do people feel the need to pop everyone into boxes?
I am a big fan of Nona and her wide spectrum of romance she covers (check out her Read To Me book - loved that!) and again she has not failed me. An engrossing and engaging read that I was left wanting more of. Four stars.
