Let Love Live:
Who would you become if you lost the only person who ever mattered?

For twenty-six year old Dylan Hopkins, the answer is easy. He’s become no one. Memories of the happier times are all he has left as he finds himself meandering numbly through his now dull life. Though he cares about his work and family dearly, he’s yet to let himself find love again. Afraid of letting go of what he once had, Dylan chooses to keep his heart buried, where it belongs, having died a long time ago.

Conner Michelson is about to change everything Dylan knows. He’s every bit the bad boy persona - tatted up, ex-MMA fighter, but after an injury leaves him unable to fight, he has to rethink his goals. Having just opened his own gym, Conner can cross his first major life accomplishment off his very short list. Next up: find a man he can settle down with and build a family. Seems simple enough - a dream most people have, but when he meets Dylan, his carefree, easy-going life is thrown into a tailspin.

Determined to keep Dylan in his life, Conner vows to resurrect Dylan's long ago buried heart and let love live once more.

Foxy Rating = Five stars
It was only after I started reading this that I found out this is the fifth book in the Love series, but it is easily able to be read as a standalone book. However it was when I had finished it I knew I just wanted to go and buy all the series as I loved it and I wanted to know about Reid! I know the others are not m/m but I read all genres so a series that encapsulates all is a winner for me. Even better when I checked my kindle – I already had book one in my TBR list. Result!

This book touches on so many issues that in parts it was gut wrenching, especially in the first half which concentrates on young Dylan, his acceptance of his sexuality and his love for his best friend Shane. Oh Shane, that boy had me in bits, I just wanted to squeeze him HARD. But the hard part was what happened to him. I just didn’t want to leave him and move on (with Dylan) to the next stage of his life which having gone through such devastating loss at a young age, he is now closed off. He doesn’t do relationships after Shane, he keeps himself locked in his lonely life. After all – who could ever replace his Shane? But then along comes Conner – ah Conner, you sexy, sexy man with your tattoos and bulk. I didn’t stand a chance. Oh and Dylan, sweet, gorgeous Dylan – how you pulled on my heartstrings.

I absolutely loved this book and the depth of emotion it wrung out of me. Yes there was lots of ugly crying, happy clapping and oh wah-hoot! lots of sexy smexy times, but it was unmissable (is that a word?) Anyhow it’s a definite high recommend and a five star rating from me. Brilliant!

Foxy Rating = Four stars
When I read this was a story of a soldier and a tattoo artist I was jumping to read it and I was not disappointed when I did. I loved it!

Jacob Daxton aka Dax is a discharged soldier suffering from PTSD after an horrific incident. The loss he is feeling is intense and the need to get away from family intervention pushes him to go stay with his best friend Chloe. She knows all of his secrets he is finding hard to keep from his family but at least with Chloe he can be who is really is.  When thinking of a fitting tribute to the one he lost, he comes across the tattoo parlour near his new home.

Beckett Ridge aka Beck is a small business owner trying to build up his tattoo parlour. He is also struggling to cope with his sister in rehab and trying to get custody of his niece Violet. So with all this going on is it the right time to try to make a connection with the hot new client?

I just loved the intensity of the storyline of this hot romance that was made all the more compelling by the dynamic main characters Dax and Beck. Throw in the cuteness factor with Tonka the dog and the adorable Violet it made for a well-rounded read.

There was a lot of drama and angst in the book and I liked how the author got across the connection of the two MCs even with their barriers that they put up to protect themselves. Sometimes that is hard to put across where trying to establish chemistry with two hard headed hot males! The back and forth of the romance was a needed inclusion, especially after knowing what each of them had gone through in their pasts.

The steam factor was not over the top but was sufficiently expressed in the hotness levels. I really liked the characters and the interaction with the secondary characters, I especially loved Dax’s relationship with Chloe. It was great to see how Dax became the supporter of Beck with Violet which I feel gave him purpose in his life and also illustrated to Beck just how much he wanted to be in his life after Beck tried to push him away.

Overall a lovely m/m romance with two hot male leads and a strong cast of supporting characters. Four stars.

Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.

Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.
