Finn closed the remaining distance between us, clutching his hands in my hair to pull me closer. Raw heat poured from his body to mine like red-hot, molten lava.
His fingers tightened their grip on my hair, and his tongue drove between my lips, completely devouring me with a fiery, hungry kiss. It was a wild and messy tangle of hands groping, and needy mouths pressing against each other. He kissed me deeper, thrusting his tongue against mine and my lust for him burned and sizzled deep in my core.
“God,” he groaned. “I fucking love your mouth.”
My mind went blank. All I could think about was that I needed more of him. I moaned into the kiss, tasting the sweet scotch that rested on his tongue and lingered on his breath like a drunken aphrodisiac. I kissed him harder, devouring the taste of him like a drunk trying to get the last drop of whiskey from a glass.
There was something primal about him. Something wild just beneath his calm and controlled surface. I wanted him to turn me into something so crazed with lust and uninhibited that I didn’t even recognize myself. I wanted his mouth so tightly against mine that our breathing became one suffocated gasp of air.
Then it hit me. “Oh God,” I groaned, ripping myself out of his embrace. Immediately I covered my face with my hands in shame. “I shouldn’t have done that. Oh shit,” my head shook back and forth. “I can’t believe I just did that. You’re my boss—I—shit. I called a hiatus on men, and then I just attack you?”
“Hailee,” he breathed out, tugging my arm lightly.
“No,” I squeezed my eyes tightly shut, shaking my head back and forth. I let my hands drop from my face, but I still refused to look at him. One palm gripped the handle of the door so I could escape my embarassment. “I’m sorry. Don’t fire me, okay?”
