I'm good enough to protect her.
I'm good enough to die for her.
But, I'm not good enough to touch her?

I may be the Vice President of the Ravens Ruin MC, but her brother, the President, has given all of us orders that she's off-limits.

It's for the best, really.

Review

This is the second book in the Ravens Ruin MC series but can be read as a standalone.

Briar is the VP of the MC and Molly is the Princess - that being the sister of the President and Enforcer and their over protectiveness of their sister know no bounds. No man will ever be good enough for her in their eyes. This is one reason that Briar will keep his infatuation with Molly secret along with his dark inner self.

I had not read the first book in the series but I was easy able to pick up with the MC. This was a darker and grittier MC and the reason Briar could end up dead if he made any move to be with Molly.

There was an eleven year age gap between Briar and Molly and even though I love an age gap romance I felt Molly and Briar should have been in twenties and thirties, not teen and late twenties. With Briar being celibate for a decade and the dark things he had done I just felt he would have been too young to have done those things at nineteen. However that is my own personal taste of liking my characters a bit older and wiser.

Overall though this was an enticing read and kept my invested in the storyline. I really liked Molly and although young she did act older which was a win for me in the end. I loved Briar too with his alphaness,  his enigmatic stance and his darkness. The slow burn did not detract from the romance and I enjoyed the journey to reach the longed for HEA.

I would definitely recommend this book and I have added this series to my TBR list for sure. Four stars.
