Series: Bad Boys of Retribution MC #2
Author: Rie Warren
Genre: MC Erotic Romance
Release Date: June 23, 2015
Bonafide pussy magnet. Kinky Kaid I wanna get laid. Yeah, I’ve been called that shit and more. It comes with the territory. See, I’m a male stripper. I shake my moneymaker so I can pay the bills and take care of my people.
I’m also a hardcore, hell-bent biker dude, the newest prospect at Retribution MC. Probie 2.0, and they can never find out how I earn my living. Women love me. They toss their panties at me. They push hundred dollar bills into my G-string. I’m down and dirty and the honeys dig it. All but one.
There’s this girl, Sadie. She’s beautiful and funny and kickass with some major ink. I’d never make a move on her because she’s my best friend.
Best friend? Bullshit. Kinkaid treats me like I’m his kid sister. I’m the hell-raiser, the tomboy dirt biker, his late night call but never like that. He thinks he’s safe from me. I’m going to prove him wrong. I’ll make him see me as a woman one way or the other.
When I find out what Kinkaid’s been hiding there’s hell to pay. Except then he gives me a lap dance. A hot, wicked, panty-melting lap dance. A lap dance that unleashes our intense desire, fresh jealousy, distrust and anger.
Everything changes after that, and not for the better. I love him. I hate him. I can’t lose him. Sometimes I can’t stand him. He’s hot as sin on a sultry lowcountry night, and he’s still my best friend.
I don’t know if he’s man enough to give me what I need.
Foxy Rating = Four and a half stars
This is the second book in The Bad Boys of Retribution MC series and this time it is Kinkaid and Sadie's story.
When I picked this up to read I was expecting plenty of smut and sexiness, well with a hot stripper involved what more could I expect? What I didn't expect was to be brought to tears. But in a good way! Well kind of....
Kinkaid is probie 2 for the Retribution MC, just waiting on getting patched in. In addition to serving behind the bar of the clubhouse, he also cares for his Grampa Dean who has been a surrogate father to him for most of his life. He has the utmost respect for this old man, so much so that he will do whatever he can in order that Grampa's every need is covered. But ensuring this care takes money of which Kaid has little of, so to booster that he works as a stripper at a local club as their star attraction. But his brothers at the MC don't know anything of this and neither does his best friend Sadie. Well nobody knows expect his fellow strippers!
Sadie has always had Kaid at her side, every since they were young kids, getting into scrapes together. She is part of the sister MC and the reason Kaid is trying to patch into the MC. There has never been anything other than a platonic relationship between them. That is until Sadie, at a bachelorette party, discovers Kaid's secret at the GQ club. Well after a lusty lap dance from your sexy best friend has a way of bringing those hidden feelings out into the open. Now the best friends are looking at each other in a whole new light!
There is a lot of drama and angst involved with the two main characters, mainly that Sadie does not want to share Kinkaid with a clubful of baying women, she wants him for herself. Can Kinkaid get her to see that he needs this job to help his Grampa and that she is the only woman for him?
I loved the banter between Kaid and his Grampa, it had me laughing out loud at some of the things Grampa Dean came out with. It was the utter devotion between these two that also had me in bits at a pivotal part of the storyline. When Kincaid was slumped sobbing his heart out I was right there with him. There is just something about a man who cries that gets to me. Of course his girl and best friend was right there when he needed her.
Although this series is entitled as an MC read, there is not much MC action. But the clubhouse is more of the foundation of the series and the stories are of the men themselves. So although my initial thoughts after reading the first book was this is not an MC series, I totally got it. This is fast becoming a favourite series of mine and I can not wait for Bo and Ronnie's story coming next.
If you love to read about hot alpha men with southern charm, sassy women with a sexy southern drawl, against a backdrop of gorgeous MC heroes and a Grampa to fall in love with, then you will love KinKaid and Sadie's story. Four and a half stars.
