This is the second book
in the Lies and Truth Duet and concludes to the happy ending readers
of the first book had been routing for.
More is uncovered into
the world of the political drama that unfolded in book one, however
we find out just how sadistic and evil Cal is. Both Elizabeth and
Alex are intrinsically interwoven into the suspenseful plot but I
wont give away the story as that would be one big spoiler.
I am glad this story is
told in most part from Alex's POV so we get a glimpse into the alpha
male with his thoughts and his depth of feeling for Elizabeth. There
are revelations to be made that bring a welcome angst ridden panic to
the reader but no worries, as all is nicely redeemed with that
glorious epilogue.
Overall this was a good
storytelling and I have enjoyed the two books. I would have liked a
little more romance and passion but suffice to say I was not
disappointed with this romantic suspense.
